PREISTRÄGERKONZERT

For an entire week, young cellists from around the world have come together in Kronberg to work, learn and take on new artistic challenges. In the „Preisträgerkonzert“, selected participants now have the opportunity to demonstrate their artistry on the main stage of the Casals Forum, performing alongside the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn.

The programme brings together some of the central works of the cello repertoire: Joseph Haydn’s two cello concertos, Boccherini’s Cello Concerto No. 3, Tchaikovsky’s virtuosic Variations on a Rococo Theme and Max Bruch’s deeply expressive Kol Nidrei. Which young soloists will perform each work will only be decided over the course of the masterclasses.

The evening is therefore more than a concert: it is a moment of new beginnings. It reveals what can emerge when talent meets experience, courage is matched by dedicated work, and individual voices come together in shared music-making.
