Programme

Franz Schubert (1797–1828)
Entr’acte No. 3 in B flat major from „Rosamunde“, D 797

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827)
Triple concerto in C major, op. 56

When chamber music and orchestra come together, a very special energy is created: in his ‘Triple Concerto’, Beethoven brings together a piano trio with a large orchestra. Experience the unique ‘vibes’ when the three soloists bounce musical ideas off each other! There is hardly any music more suited to this than that of Ludwig van Beethoven, which radiates cheerfulness and joie de vivre despite his progressive deafness – and is often used in music therapy. In this concert, the Kronberg Young Soloists – alumni and students – perform together with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe under Sir András Schiff.
