BAROCK GALA CELLO STRAVAGANZA

At the close of the Kronberg Festival, the stage once again belongs entirely to the cello.

Reinhard Goebel is one of the most influential – and most questioning – figures in historically informed performance practice. For decades, he has challenged familiar listening habits, bringing Baroque music to life with analytical clarity, rhythmic energy and uncompromising vitality.

Together with the Kronberg Young Soloists, he presents a „Cello Stravaganza“ in which the cello steps out of its accompanying role and takes centre stage. Works by Giovanni Mossi, Antonio Vivaldi and Giuseppe Valentini meet the expressive musical language of Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Johann Gottfried Müthel.

This Baroque gala is no ceremonial look back, but an energetic finale: virtuosic, spirited and full of discoveries. Baroque with rock at its heart – and a musical cello fiesta to bring „Courage!“ to a close.
